Budget Amendments to Fiscal Year 2024

On Tuesday, October 1, County Commissioners signed the resolution to adopt fiscal year 2023-2024 budget amendments.

According to Park County Finance Director Erica Strickland, "Budget amendments may be submitted throughout the year. The Commission has requested that Finance runs budget amendments at the end of the fiscal year unless there’s a compelling reason to run one earlier. The main reason to hold budget amendments to the end of the year is due to cases where an additional cost does not cause expenditures to exceed budgeted appropriations so the amendment is unnecessary."

The resolution may be viewed here.

A list of amendments may be viewed here.

How do I... get rid of a junk vehicle?

The Junk Vehicle Program provides the public with free removal of junk vehicles. The Junk Vehicle Program’s jurisdiction on private property is the removal of vehicles that are surrendered only by the owner of the vehicle.

WHAT THE JUNK VEHICLE RECYCLING PROGRAM CAN AND CANNOT DO FOR YOU

The Junk Vehicle Recycling Program CAN pick up :

  1. Vehicles surrendered to the state by the owner of the vehicle. You may surrender a vehicle to the state by filling out a JUNK VEHICLE RELEASE FORM  - Please submit the form to the Park County Junk Vehicle Coordinator
  2. Vehicles that are not owned by the property owner as long as:

                   - The owner of the vehicle fills out the junk vehicle release form and,
                   - The owner of the vehicle gets a notarized letter giving the property owner permission to have it picked up.
                   - Both documents are provided to the Junk Vehicle Coordinator prior to the vehicle getting picked up.

The Junk Vehicle Recycling Program CANNOT pick up :
